About

Dear singers and players,

Its time for another magical gathering of musicians at our farm in Central Portugal!

This is a tiny private party of 50 amazing musicians (mainly from the UK folk scene) and 50 paying guests, set in our stunning, hidden valley of terraced olive groves, deep in the Pinhal forest.

If you are an active musician and would like to come please message me for the link to the musician's free tickets.
Musician's tickets include your bed in the huge,over-crowded musicians dorm room plus all your food and drinks (beer & wine) for the whole 4 days. You also get a free place on the transfer bus from Porto on the Thursday and to Lisbon on the Monday.

If you would like to come as a paying guest please see http://www.wegottickets.com/sct/uWrF7YWGjj

Program of events-

Thursday 17th May
4pm - Gates and camping area opens.
5.30pm Transfer bus leaves PORTO airport.
8.30pm - Communal welcome dinner for all our musicians and guests all seated at one big table under the vines in front of the farm house.
Followed I imagine by drinking and informal acoustic jamming.

Friday 18th May
Morning - A trip to the local fruit and veg market to busk and buy the food for the weekend from those crafty old ladies.
Exploration day - Discover our beautiful farm or explore the forest and river where we swim. Or just play music all day.
20.00 - Concert on the farm. We invite all our Portugese and ex-pat friends (many of whom are musicians) to join our party on Friday night. We set up the BBQ, woodfired pizza oven and an amplified stage under the fig tree which open it to all those who would like to perform.

Saturday 19th May
After lunch we take the show to town!
3pm Outdoor Concert - We have a small outdoor stage at the beautiful Miradouro Square outside the Clube da Serta and intend to gently entertain the locals in the sunshine.
8pm Grand dinner - we hope to organise a grand dinner in town with our Portuguses musician friends, more details to follow...
11pm - Grand Concert in the beautiful 1913 Theatro Tasso in the Clube da Serta. The venue is stunning, seats over 200 people and has exceptional acoustics.
1am - Jam in the bar! Big messy jam till dawn in the Clube's smokey bar. I'm sure we will be joined by Nightmare, Lidia and all our Portuguese friends!

Sunday 20th May
For lunch we will take a day trip to Huub's beautiful organic vineyard at Aulberge do Bomjardim where he is putting on an BBQ lunch as part of an event called The Pinhal Passion. The event is to showcase all the different activities going on in the region like beekeeping, organic farming, yoga etc. He has invited us to come play and drink his delicious wine :-)
Sunday night after dinner we will jam around the fire. Last year we got quite emotional as he singers melted our hearts.

Monday 21st May
11am - Transfer bus leaves for LISBON airport

Weather - It should be over 20 deg sunshine and we'll be swimming in the river, but it will be quite chilly at night.
